A Reminder from God
By Lyra Viola
Whenever I feel that the world is against me, or when I’d feel such anger, I could almost yell, “This world sucks” or “Piss off,” I’m always humbled by a gentle reminder. When I’m in those moods I’d feel so all- powerful in my indignation that I sometimes feel invincible. Yet a single sign or a gentle rebuke will usually suffice to remind me to count my blessings. Like when I’m in a middle of a scowl-fest and He gently says:
“Ly, your fly is open.”
So my anger disappears and all the blessings I have in my life would shine brightly in my mind .My cheeks would shine brightly too- but that’s a different story.
Believe me, this happens to me lots of times, that now, whenever I feel like such an ungrateful bitch, I try to calm down, and check my zipper.
